 Description:

This course is open to women who would prefer to take a class with other women. It will be taught by top female instructors with many years of shooting and training experience.

 This is an entry level handgun course for the woman who would like to learn about how to safely handle a handgun and acquire useful shooting skills.

 Topics include:

 Fireams safety rules and range safety

• Safety in the home, safe storage and safe dry fire practice
• Safety and security while traveling with the firearm
• Nomenclature and useful terms
• Action types
• Selection of the handgun
• Ammunition and caliber selection
• Concealment systems -  holsters, belts and other useful items
• Loading and unloading
• Fundamentals of Marksmanship/Elements of Shooting
• First shots and Sighting in
• Basic shooting drills
• Basic drawing from the holster
• Care and maintenance
• Discussion of self defense concepts and use of force

 You will need:          

Eye and ear protection. You may bring a firearm and ammunition to class as long as it is considered safe. We will have handguns for you to shoot. We will also have ammunition for purchase for the class.
